The wings of the perpetual trophy come from an English Oak planted in 1796 on the bank of the Hawksbury River N.S.W. Destroyed by lightening 1988 and presented to the association by George Luster Sydney Woodturners Club. A donation by Doug Leaney, a visitor from South Australia culminated in Making the Perpetual Trophy possible.
